Am 9. Februar 1926 stellte der Norweger Erik Rothheim eine neue Methode zum Auftragen von Flüssigkeiten vor: die von ihm entwickelte Sprühdose. Er war auf der Suche nach einer Möglichkeit, seine Skier schnell und einfach zu wachsen.

On February 9, 1926, the Norwegian Erik Rothheim presented a new method for applying liquids: the spray can he had developed. He had been looking for a way to wax his skis quickly and easily.
